About Me

I’m Isabela Cordero, an esthetician student and beauty writer with a passion for beauty and a love for discovering new products and techniques.

I’m currently studying at Brittany Beauty Academy in Brooklyn, New York. I have my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from City College of New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Theory from The New School.

By day, I’m studying the science of skin and perfecting my techniques at esthtics school. When I’m not advancing my education, I’m covering beauty, fashion, and hair trends, developing websites, and crafting email campaigns. Between the Beauty Notes and my articles for StyldLife, an online styling consultancy, I’m sharing skin truths, tips, and techniques that will help you feel beautiful from the inside out.

I’ve always had a passion for exploring and trying new beauty products. In 202, this love expanded to learning about ingredients, expiermenting with DIYs, and teaching myself how to do my own nails. While I enjoy the creativity of nail art, my true passion lies in skicare and makeup. From educating myself on ingredients to address PCOS-related issues like hyperpigmentation, to managing hormonal acne, my passion for beauty goes beyond creating stunning looks. It is also about treating conditions that can impact one’s confidence.

Whether I’m working hands as a student esthitician with extractions, waxes, and facials, or I’m writing a skincare blog, my goal is the same, educate, inspire and help everyone be confident in their skin.
