About Me

I am a writer, editor, and creative. I’m an experienced copy editor, working in the sustainable lifestyle, beauty and fashion, education, and literary sectors. I have worked on Open Educational (OER) textbooks and websites, literary journals, online magazines, and publications. Currently, I’m a Senior Copy Editor and Email Marketer with StyldLife, an online styling consultancy. I am also a freelance Copy Editor and Web Designer. Some of my recent freelance work includes fashion magazines and OER websites for CUNY colleges. As a freelance Web Designer, I intertwine my creativity, passion for writing, and technological skills to create engaging websites that showcase a brand/project’s unique story.

I am an active member of the Romance Writers of America. I am working on a sports romance novel, The Walkoff.

As a Project Coordinator at CUNY and the Mellon Foundation working on the Transformative Learning in the Humanities grant, I worked on the Open Educational Resource (OER) website and corresponding Pressbooks publication. In the position, I designed the OER website, TLH in a Box, organizing content from the three years of the grant.
Since the grant, I have worked on other OER websites for CUNY as a Freelance Web Designer.
I have been an editor with Eleven and a Half Literary Journal and Promethean Literary Journal. With Eleven and a Half, I collaborated with a team to select pieces based on their fit with the journal’s theme for publication. With both Literary Journals, I worked with authors on edits for their submissions and ran social media accounts for the journals. I created content to promote the Literary Journals and related events.
I was a Lifestyle Editor with Mood of Living, a sustainable lifestyle magazine and online publication. Below, view a sample of some of the copywriting I did as a Lifestyle Editor. In the role, I also worked on branding, communication with companies for product information, PR, and potential interviews, wrote social media copy, and researched brands for sustainable practices.
